Hey beauties!
As I've mentioned previously, I've changed my hair colour, I have gone darker & more in the violet family rather than red, and I think now my makeup options have been opened up to something entirely better. Not that it mattered to me before about how my eyeshadow/lipstick/blush colours looked against my hair before, but now certain things look a whole lot different. For instance, this bright blue eyeshadow never stood out this much to me on my eyes before. I have also worn red lips and I <3 it a lot more now!

A proper pic of the hair;I had an inch taken off the ends & more of the layers so it sits 100x better now, and feels much more healthier!

So here is a comparison of Sleeks Eye Dust in Jet Set compared to Sugarpill's Darling. Although the lighting is different, and I definitely used a white base under Jet Set and a white shimmer on top, when I'm unsure about Darling, but JS looks way more vibrant & has a foiled effect. So I'm glad I bought it even though they are still similar!

So of course while I still have heaps of older FOTD's lined up, you probably wont see this hair for a while haha. But I am just so in love I had to post it earlier ;) I hope you like this bright teal eye makeup, one of my fave colours to wear on the eyes for sure!

Hey guys, once again sorry for another late post with my New Years Eve makeup! I've been so busy this week to be able to get around to posting it. So I hope everyone had a great night partying, or whatever you did :) We had the hottest day on new years day that we've had in a long time.... 46.C or 115 F.! Which kinda sucked because it was way too hot for the beach :(
Anyway, it was humid on NYE especially when I was getting ready, so ignore the creasing!


  So of course being NYE I had to add glitter to the look. I was a little bit inspired by Lisa Eldridge's party makeup look with the shape & colouring, and wanted it to match my dress without being too matchy-matchy.

Inglot P428 (dark blue) on black, silvery green from BH Cosmetics Day & Night palette in the middle.
Fyrianne Pixie Epoxy to middle (sticky base), Nyx Silver glitter on top. (patted on some more of the shimmery green to mute the silver). Shimmery white from Day & Night palette to highlight & skintone colour to blend above crease. Nyx Slide on pencil in Sunrise Blue on lower lashline with blue from inglot on top. Nyx Candy Glitter liner in Disco Ball in inner lashline.

I ordered the Day & Night platte from www.bhcosmetics.com as they were having a sale so I paid $10.50 for this bad boy! (not incl. shipping). You should follow their facebook page because they have so many great specials on all the time!
        I received it on Tuesday and I have been using it ever since.. there are so many gorgeous colour combos you can do, sometimes I even do the unthinkable & use the night colours during the day ;) I'm so bad! :P Infact I like to use most of the night colours all the time since they're so purdy but the light pinks will come in handy for the warmer weather.
 Using flash so you can see the gorgeous shimmers..


& in natural light so you can see the pigment naturally.

The are 30 day colours & 30 night colours with a mixture of mattes & shimmers. Also I think I have found a few Naked palette dupes so stay tuned for that post! (one day, be patient ;))
Some of the colours are highly pigmented, but some are unfortunately not. Over time I will post more looks with this so you can see.
This palette is so versatile, you can do many looks ranging from natural & barely-there, to smokey & ultra dramatic so I am really glad I bought this palette.

Wanting to use some of the most prettiest, pigmented colours out of the palette first, I created this peacock-y eye that was a little bit inspired by SMLx0 on "the tube" (lol if u get it)

ignore the 'big nose angle' lol but I like how glowy I look :)

And I just got an inch+ off my length! It feels like a huge difference in length lol but much more healthier! Even though I *still* had small split ends left after arrghh!

It feels like I haven't posted a FOTD for a little bit, this is actually from while we were away so it should say FOAFWA (face of a few weeks ago) :P
Anyway, we went to the footy and I wore these colours to support my man's footy team... although I rather dislike them! hahah.  And they lost anyway =/

Another double triple post, this time featuring smokey blues :) I'm going to keep the words short & sweet, lol. As you can tell by the title, the colours in these looks consist of blues... and they're smokey, haha.

 I was wearing blues for the daytime so I just went over the crease with golds but should have touched up the blue again.

-BYS gel eyeliner, was going to go  a bit thicker but decided to leave it as it was.
I would have worn falsies but didn't feel like it this night haha.

-Unsure of blush but I think it may be bourjois..
-I think the lipstick is by BYS, Champagne Rain.

As always thank you for looking, I love wearing blues for some reason haha and I think its super versatile whether its worn as a pop of colour, as a gradient or smokey. How do you like to wear it? xx

You may see some small changes in the pics, the first one is from the very end results, It felt like it needed something extra & that's where the glitter came in handy. Also I added another tone to the lips, although I really like baby pink lips/ cheeks when wearing blues.

So the reason I choose blue is that many of you may know Sonja from The Beautiful Life Of The Girl Next Door. & if you follow her you may have read one of her recent posts where she bravely tells us that she has been diagnosed with colon cancer.
She created some beautiful blue looks as the colour for colon cancer awareness is (ta da) blue & I wanted to do the same, hoping that I'm going to do her proud! We all wish you a speedy recovery xxx
